Mt. Shiribetsu Backcountry

Adjacent to nearby Rusutsu resort, Mount Shiribetsu offers a great backcountry challenge and some immaculate fall line skiing. Our day begins from Rusutsu resort where we take advantage of a couple of chairlifts to gain a little bit of vertical before setting out on foot. The hike is a little challenging but offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. The descent is a straight top to bottom run, finishing with some beautiful tree skiing.
